Hi,

We were having problems getting our Thin Client machines to remain in Class lists on a previous version or RRC.

We were told that if we upgraded to 10.5 there is a feature where we could set this up and ranger would remember which indicidual Thin Client belonged to which room.

Is there any guide in how to set this up? The user manual contains nothing on how to create a look up file, or how it should be set up etc.

We've tried using a .txt file with the following

ClientName, RoomName

and also

RoomName, ClientName

But it didn't make a difference.

Any ideas or guidance?

Thanks in advance
Darren

Hello,

If you have 10.5 go to Start>Ranger Remote Control>Ranger Remote Control Configurator

Should open the client configurator.

Use Lookup File to Set Room – In a server-based environment to allocate Ranger Students to different rooms a ‘lookup file’ containing the Student name and the required room must used. The ‘lookup file’ should be saved with a .csv extension and should be in the format “Student Identifier”,”Room value”.

As User - The Lookup file may be located on a remote server where the user may not have file permissions in which case this option allows permissions with access to be specified.
